Timothy L. Vaill
Chairman and CEO

As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Private, Tim has overall responsibility for establishing the mission and vision of the company, developing the strategy for implementation and its ultimate execution.  He reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for keeping them fully informed about and involved in the key policies and issues facing the company.  Tim serves on a number of the company’s firms’ boards and chairs the company’s Senior Policy Group.

As President and Vice Chairman of Boston Private, Walt’s activities are focused on a broad variety of strategic matters, with specific emphasis on operational execution.  He oversees the company’s acquisition efforts and is the chief negotiator for all transactions.

Megan holds the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Boston Private.  Her principal role is Chief Legal Officer for the corporation, of which she is also the Secretary.  She works very closely with the Compliance and Risk Management area.  In addition, she is responsible for the planning and execution of all board-related matters, coordinates all outside counsel activities, and is a member of the company’s Senior Policy Group.
