Executive Vice President,
General Counsel
Megan holds the position of Executive
Vice President and General Counsel at Boston Private. Her
principal role is Chief Legal Officer for the corporation,
of which she is also the Secretary. She works very
closely with the Compliance and Risk Management area. In
addition, she is responsible for the planning and execution
of all board-related matters, coordinates all outside counsel
activities, and is a member of the company’s Senior
Policy Group.
Prior to joining Boston Private in
January 2002, Megan served as Executive Vice President
and General Counsel for Funds Distributor, Inc., where
she was responsible for providing legal counsel to all
operating areas of the firm.
Previously, she served as Vice President
and Assistant General Counsel at the investment management
firm Loomis Sayles & Company. She
began her career as an Associate with the law firm Ropes & Gray,
where she focused on securities regulatory matters, including
investment company, investment advisory, broker-dealer, and
securities offering matters.
Megan received her bachelor of science
from Pennsylvania State University and her juris doctor from
Suffolk University Law School. |
